คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสุราษฎร์ธานีผนึกกำลังชุมชน จัดโครงการทำนุบำรุงศิลปวัฒนธรรม “สืบสานประเพณีชักพระจังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานี”
วันที่ 8 ตุลาคม 2568 – ศูนย์บริการวิชาการท้องถิ่นและเครือข่ายชุมชน ร่วมกับ ฝ่ายพัฒนานักศึกษาและทำนุบำรุงศิลปวัฒนธรรม สาขาวิชาการพัฒนาชุมชน และ กลุ่มวิชานาฏศิลป์ คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสุราษฎร์ธานี (มรส.) ได้จัดกิจกรรม “โครงการสร้างความร่วมมือในการทำนุบำรุงศิลปวัฒนธรรม สืบสานประเพณีชักพระจังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานี” อย่างยิ่งใหญ่ ณ วัดท่าอู่ ตำบลขุนทะเล และ บริเวณริมแม่น้ำตาปี อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานี
กิจกรรมในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมการมีส่วนร่วมของเยาวชนและชุมชนในการอนุรักษ์ ฟื้นฟู และสืบทอดมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมอันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของจังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานี โดยเฉพาะประเพณีชักพระ . ซึ่งเป็นประเพณีทางพุทธศาสนาที่สืบทอดกันมายาวนาน
โครงการดังกล่าวประสบความสำเร็จอย่างดียิ่งด้วยความร่วมมือจากทุกภาคส่วน มี อาจารย์และนักศึกษาจาก มรส. จำนวน 30 คน และ ตัวแทนจากชุมชน/ภาคประชาสังคมในพื้นที่ จำนวน 50 คน เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมตลอดทั้งวัน ตั้งแต่เวลา 06.30 น. จนถึง 19.00 น. รวมพลังกว่า 80 ชีวิตในภารกิจทางวัฒนธรรมครั้งสำคัญนี้
กิจกรรมครอบคลุมตั้งแต่การเรียนรู้ประวัติความเป็นมาและพิธีกรรมของประเพณีชักพระ การร่วมเตรียมความพร้อมและตกแต่งเรือพนมพระ การลงพื้นที่ช่วยเหลือกิจกรรมของวัดและชุมชน รวมถึงการเข้าร่วมพิธีชักพระอย่างเป็นทางการ ซึ่งเป็นโอกาสให้นักศึกษาได้สัมผัสและเรียนรู้จากภูมิปัญญาของคนในชุมชนโดยตรง
การจัดโครงการนี้สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความมุ่งมั่นของมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสุราษฎร์ธานี ในการเป็น “ปัญญาของท้องถิ่น” ที่ไม่ได้จำกัดอยู่แค่การเรียนการสอนในห้องเรียน แต่ขยายไปสู่การสร้างสรรค์และทำนุบำรุงสังคมและวัฒนธรรม โดยเฉพาะการบ่มเพาะให้นักศึกษามีจิตสำนึกในการรักและหวงแหนมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมของบ้านเกิด
ความร่วมมือระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยและชุมชนในครั้งนี้ไม่เพียงแต่ช่วย สืบสานประเพณีชักพระ ให้คงอยู่ต่อไปอย่างเข้มแข็ง แต่ยังเป็นการเสริมสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมืออันดีระหว่างสถาบันการศึกษาและภาคประชาสังคม เพื่อร่วมกันขับเคลื่อนการพัฒนาท้องถิ่นอย่างยั่งยืนในมิติด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรมต่อไป
Public Relations News: Preserving the Chak Phra Festival – Religion and Culture at the Heart of
the Community.
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Suratthani Rajabhat University, in collaboration with
the local community, organized a cultural preservation project entitled “Preserving the Chak Phra
Festival Tradition of Surat Thani Province.”
On 8 October 2025, the Local Academic Service Center and Community Network, in collaboration with the Division of Student Development and Cultural Preservation, the Community Development Program, and the Performing Arts Unit of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Suratthani Rajabhat University (SRU), hosted the project “Strengthening Collaboration in Cultural Preservation: Preserving the Chak Phra Festival Tradition of Surat Thani Province” on a grand scale at Wat Tha-U, Khun Thale Subdistrict, and along the Tapi River in Mueang District, Suratthani Province.
The activity aimed to promote the participation of youth and the community in conserving, revitalizing, and sustaining the unique cultural heritage of Suratthani Province, particularly the Chak Phra Festival, a long-standing Buddhist tradition.
The project was highly successful through strong collaboration from all sectors. A total of 80 participants joined the activity throughout the day, from 06:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., including 30 lecturers and students from SRU and 50 representatives from local communities and civil society.
The activities covered a wide range of learning experiences, including studying the history and rituals of the Chak Phra Festival, preparing and decorating the ceremonial Buddha boats (Phanom Phra boats), participating in community and temple support activities, and attending the official Chak Phra procession. These experiences provided students with valuable opportunities to learn directly from local wisdom.
This project reflects Suratthani Rajabhat University’s strong commitment to being a “local wisdom university,” extending beyond classroom learning to actively contributing to society and cultural preservation. It also fosters students’ awareness and appreciation of their cultural heritage.
The collaboration between the university and the community not only helps sustain the Chak Phra Festival but also strengthens partnerships between educational institutions and civil society, contributing to sustainable local development in the dimension of arts and culture.
